According to a recent article by Jody Demling, several sources are reporting that California native Deandre Daniels spent his Fathers Day walking the grounds of the University of Kentucky.
For those of you not familiar with Deandre Daniels, Marc Maggard gave this breakdown of his overall game in a recent audioblog:
2011 6'8" 3/4(Position) Deandre Daniels is a late bloomer, so to speak. Has only been playing basketball for four years. Wears a size 17 shoe and is projected to grow to 6'9" - 6'10". Lots of upside potential, and is showing a quick grasp for the game. Doesn't read help defense well yet, and no real post moves, but it should come with time. This is common for players who move from the perimeter to the post later on in school. Thin with a wide frame. Great athlete that doesn't shy away from banging in the post. He is one of the fastest rising players in the class. Definite top 50, maybe as much as a top 20-30 player.
