TBK Tips: Editing your forum profile

stickyHave you ever wanted to put an infamous quote defining the way the world seems as viewed through your kaleidoscope after each of your posts?  Do you feel an all-encompassing need to display a picture of Liono to express your affinity for The Eye of Thundera?  Long to display the legend, "Pinball Wizard" beneath that picture?  This is the How-To for you.

Each of these options (Signatures, Avatars, Personal Text) and more are all available to each registered user.  Click on the "My Profile" button at the top of any of the forum pages.  For avatars (your profile picture), click the "My Avatar" button on the left.  You can either select one from the generic list, or upload one of your own.  After you've selected your new picture, be sure to confirm the choice or it won't be applied.

For the other options, go back to the "My Profile" screen and click the "My Profile Info" button.  On this screen, the other options are pretty straight-forward.  Enter the text you want in each of the fields (you don't have to put something in each of them, however).  To put a picture in your signature, copy and past the direct link to the picture in the signature field.  Highlight the link, and click the "IMG" button.  If you want to put a link to a preferred web page in the signature, copy and paste the address, highlight it, and click the "URL" button.

Remember to hit the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page once you are done, or the changes won't take effect.  I suggest everyone try to add a little bit of flair to their posts in these manners.  Remember though, TBK posting rules apply to every aspect of your posts.  Be tasteful, TBKers.

Is there a size recommendation for profile pic? Because when I follow the steps above, I never get the chance to "confirm".
