How messed up is this whole situation? I don't really have a dog in the fight, as I don't have a particular NBA team I root for, but I can't believe Stern did this. All parties involved are being screwed by this trade being blocked, including New Orleans. It seems like a blatant and arbitrary move against the Lakers.

What say you?

It's crazy. The trade was good for all involved or so it seemed, but it just goes to show that the lockout accomplished absolutely nothing. One of the things they wanted was to try to stop all-stars from all going to the same teams and making these super teams, thus letting the smaller market teams be able to compete. What happens as soon as the lockout ends, it looks like the Lakers are trying to get Paul and Howard and Tyson Chandler goes to the Knicks to team up with Mello and Amare. Looks like the lockout didn't accomplish anything that was important for the small market teams.

it was a dick move by the dick owner of the cavs who still has his panties twisted over losing Lebron, he doesn't want another super team so he went crying to Stern and Stern backed him up. blocking the trade hurts all the parties involved, the Hornets will not lose CP at the end of the year and get nothing for him instead of gaining two starting big men who are both under contract plus possibly the #1 pick in the next draft.

They're trying to re-work the deal now to get to something that will be approved.
