I must say I'm shocked. As a Bengals fan, I can't believe that ol' Mikey Brown actually traded him, considering how stubborn he is. Even better is the fact that the Raiders are getting bent over big time in the trade...next year's 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder in 2013 that becomes a 1st rounder if the Raiders win just 1 playoff game.

I give Brown credit for getting the most value out of this that he could have.

I was glad Palmer didn't play for the Bengals this year. I couldn't stomach watching him any longer. Dalton is doing great for a rookie and along with Green has made this team interesting to watch.

I can't believe the Bengals are getting a first round pick and a second round pick which could become a first round pick. I figured with his salary he was only worth maybe a fourth round pick but it looks like Mike Brown got some big-time value with this trade. The Bengals have actually been doing a great job of drafting the past 3 years so this could be huge down the road.

Now Palmer can go throw interceptions in Oakland. Enjoy Raiders Fans!

I think its a good deal for both sides if Carson plays really well and gets them in the playoffs THIS year. If that doesn't happen then the Raiders did get bent over which it seems like they're accustomed to doing lately. You have to love this if you're a Bengals fan though. Mike Browns stubborness actually paid off. If he would have traded him a long time ago he wouldn't have gotten nearly this much for him. Now the Bengals can take those picks and continue to build around Andy Dalton who I said from the time they picked him last year that I love the pick along w/AJ Green. Both those guys can play. Dalton is tough, smart and accurate which is exactly what it takes in a QB to succeed in the NFL, and AJ Green will do nothing but get better to the point where he will be a premiere receiver in this league.

too bad for Carson his debut was against the vaunted juggernaut defense of the KC chiefs who picked him off 3 times

No, it's not wrong... I hate the way Carson demanded to get out of dodge, but the fact is he helped bring the team back to relevance in the mid-00's, so I appreciate what he did from that standpoint. I won't mind if he does well, but I believe he's a shell of his former self, thanks to Kimo Von Oelhoeffen (sp?). He's been tentative since the next time he was under center.

Bengals fans should be thanking Palmer for holding out. Possibly 2 first round picks. Thats much better than having him under center. lol.
