yea, and they took 2 outta 3 from my st louis cardinals, who arent much better right now. The PIRATES may win this pathetic division. The Pittsburg Pirates. never thought i would say that.

I'm starting to jump off his bandwagon too, all their coaches need work. a batting coach who doesn't have them swinging wildly at the first pitch every at bat leting opposing pitchers get out of every inning with 10 pitches. Whoever runs the bullpen bringing in Lecure for ONE inning in extras when he's a LONG releiver and running out of bullpen in extras is just dumb. Jockety needs to get some real pitchers in too.
Players to keep-Votto, Phillips, Stubbs, Bruce, Heisey, Chapman, Rolen (because they need an old guy) Everyone else is expendable in my opinion. Not that there aren't other good players but we need better ones, especially on the mound.

You gotta add Cueto to the players to keep list as well. Cueto has become one of the top 5 pitchers in the the NL IMO. Mike Leake has really done well also since returning from AAA. After those 2 the rest of the starting staff is pretty much a flip of the coin.

correct, I was so caught up in the pitching problem i forgot the one diamond in the rough, I still hold out hope for Willis too

and u think pujols would leave st louis to go to that mess! he's not leaving the cardinals.
and as for the reds, and as a cardinals fan, im still sick we let jockety go, he has done an outstanding job upgrading the talent level in cincy. you still have some work to do, and money is a factor, but things are still looking better in cincy for the next few years. no one in the central is going to run away with this division, so this year isnt over either.
