After having to listen to Bernanke most of the morning we switched the main TV at work to today's game at the beginning of the 2nd half. The only goal I saw was France's because I was out getting lunch for the US's other 2 goals. I hope they win but don't really care.
When is the finals? If I'm at home (or work) with nothing else to do I'd watch. The men's World Cup I get into, if I know when the Champions League Final is I'll watch, but other than that I don't tend to care.

After watching womens soccer I think it might be the womans game that is the closest to the mens game in the world. These women can do the same kinds of things that the men do on the field. Hope the US pulls it off. Love the drama of world cup soccer.

I think I'd agree with you there and I'lll say that from what I did watch there was noticeably less diving in the women's game than in the men's last year, which I found refreshing.

Less, yes but the PK in the Brazil game was certainly one dive even the men would have been proud of.

Ah, I didn't see. I read that some Brazilian fell down and faked injury to waste time after they scored late and got a yellow for it. I'm only basing on a small sample size of parts of the US-France game where there were some instances of a lot of contact and them running through it.

yup... laid there rolling "in pain" they brought the stretcher out and as soon as they carried her off the field to behind the goal, she hopped off and ran to the side so she could re-enter..
I've watched a bunch of the games and those are some tough gals!!..dunno how their knee's hold up..seen some bad licks... knees and ankles...and the one that pains me the most... cleats scraping down the shins!!
