The pitching has to get better. I've been trying to figure out what the problem has been this year and I think i figured it out. Complacency. Watching D-Train pitch sunday was an eye opener. He looked professional, he wasn't mailing it in and he pitched a great game for his first start. The rest of the staff looks like they just rolled out of bed, I swear I see Arroyo out there in a bathrobe and the morning paper rubbing the sleep out of his eyes sometimes. I know these guys are good pitchers but they aren't showing much this year. Not many teams can match the rotation of the Phillies but I know we can get more out of the staff we have. I hope they get it together down the stretch here or we may not return to the playoffs.

Congratulations Coach Cal on handing your opponents their asses 500 times and counting

The Reds aren't ever gonna be any better than they were last year. They always have a ton of young talent that never accomplishes anything.

you could be right but I hope not. I think we're solid at every position except pitching. We need to move some guys around, get Chapman in the rotation, get D-Train in the groove maybe make some trades to get a real ace and fix the bullpen we could be a lot better than we are now. Jockety needs to get on the stick and make something happen though. I'd hate to see Votto and Phillips waste away their careers with only a first round appearance in the playoffs to show for it.
