with the QB,coaching, along with being the WR coach,or will Sanders handle it solo, and also be the OC ?

I doubt it. Sanders is one of the better QB coaches in the country. P. Manning actually talked about how much Sanders helped him with the Newtons when they were researching KY. Sanders was the OC last year. The only difference is he will be in box making in game adjustments instead of being on the field.

Here's hoping that our recwivers improve. One place that Martin should help is on the recruiting side. I sure hope he can recruit receivers better than the previous coach did and get us some of the 4 star difference makers.

I think are passing game will improve. One way to kill a passing attack is to have a first year QB or a bunch of first year WR. Either one will almost kill your passing attack and UK has dealt with both at the same time the past two years. I think next year we will see a progression of the WR and the QB with better results.

Thanks Ka--I wasnt questioning Sanders being a top QB coach,as I totally agree with that--just with this age of specialization,I wondered if he would handle that job solo, along with being the OC.

Also, one thing I'm not seeing anyone discuss is the fact that a former QB (especially one who has taught the position for a while now) is probably the best suited for teaching the finer details of the WR position than anyone other than a former WR. Playing the WR position is not just all about running a sharp route and catching the ball that is thrown your way.

Its no secret that our offense requires a lot of adjustments to be made at the line of scrimmage, for the QB and his WR's to be in perfect communication with one another by the use of signals and reading the defense and being on the same page with where the WR needs to be in light of the same. This has been a problem for our guys the last 2 seasons and I believe a former QB is a great person to teach the WR's what the QB is thinking when he sees the defense line up and what adjustments need to be made.

Not only will Martin be a great asset on the recruiting trail, but I think he is a great asset in teaching these skills to the WR's.

My mistake, I think I just misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, Martin will have a positive impact on the program and more then likely contribute some with the QBs. In fact, it wouldn't shock me if he handles the gameday on field coaching with the QBs along with the WR as Sanders will be in the booth.
