on what seems like every other call is really getting on my nerves. Wrecks the flow of the game. I know they have to get it right but seems to me this season they are doing way too much of stopping the game to check to make sure they have it right. Make the call and let's play ball!

It absolutely kills the flow of the game......I can understand looking at the monitor for time, clock, etc. in the last few minutes of a close game but it just seems the officials are going to the monitor a bunch this season. I referee-ed HS basketball for 8 seasons......just make the call and move on.

It is especially bad when they go to the monitor to check on a particular player trying to find a reason to call a flagrant foul. What is the player to do, just stay still and let the opposing player tie him up?

This^
It has seemed lately the refs are targeting Cousins and its peeing me off!!!
I'm so glad coach spoke up too. Cousins is playing the game the right way now (granted he has had a few lapses) and the refs are allowing opposing teams to hang on him during play and calling tic tac fouls on Cousins. I'm hoping Cals words gets to someone( Mike Slive(head of SEC refs)). Let the kids play. If you call it one way on their side of the floor, call it the same on our side.

In all honesty I cannot think of a game where they did not go to the monitor.....sure it has happened but I cannot think of one. Wait until the Tournament....these games will take close to 3 hours to complete with commercials and refs to the monitor.....

I agree......IMO it causes issues with the players performance....The problem for the official is, a player makes his own reputation....You must agree this was and still is somewhat of an issue. The NBA report I read talked about a players body language having a detrimental effect on his viability..... is his liability worth the risk? This question is what is asked when an issue surfaces. That he is better is a good thing.. He seems to try and repress it. It is obvious by the monitor check he is a marked man. We better get used to it and cheer him on to use his skills and leave the wood chips in the locker room. I bet the coach works on this feverishly. C,mon man jus play ball....Go Cats!!!!!! If this young man can straighten this out for himself it is possible IMO he could be one of those jerseys we look up at in Rupp.

I watched the LSU game again and Cal and CUZ have a great point.
Almost every time down the floor Cuz caught an Elbow, arm tie, fore arm in the back, Knee in the rear or just plain undercut for leverage...... some of the time he got 2 or 3 of those in one possession.
Cal let the media know after the game that it is getting pretty rediculous. I agree.
I know CUZ had his attitude problem earlier, but he has done a wonderful job to keep his head in league play.
It is like they want him to blow up and go off and be done for the year.... Oh no another conspiracy.
I hope it gets better, but with the tough road games coming up and the HOME cooking that will follow Big Cuz will be tested further still.

Let them keep testing Boogie. He is becoming a smarter and better player with every elbow, knee, foream, etc, etc. He is going to keep it together, he knows how important it is. He will not let his anger get the best of him, Coach Cal is doing what he does and is teaching Cuz how to handle it. Cuz also knows that if his temper gets away from him that it could cost him millions of dollars. He is going to lead us to the championship game and he wants it as bad as we do.
