After much debate, we're back to the million dollar question.  Can talent trump experience?  According to BetOnline.com it can.  BetOnline.com says Kentucky is a favorite to win the national title with odds of +350.  When this much talent is on a team it can easily trump inexperience.  The best quote of all:

The Wildcats have the talent to overcome their experience, as this may be the most talented freshman class since Michigan’s “Fab Five” days. There is just too much, led by Wall, to stop Kentucky, and Calipari should finally get a national title, probably against a Kansas team that stole it from his Memphis club of two years ago.

Big Blue Nation has a feeling this could be the year and I'm starting to feel it too.  You can check out the entire article here.

Kentucky has been an online betting favorite all year for the NCAA championship, and they have been very consistent all year despite having a very young group of players. The Wildcats rolled through the SEC regular season en route to the championship, and even a loss in the SEC tournament wouldn’t deny them a No.1 seed in the big dance. The Wildcats are young, but they are talented, and they have more than enough to go all the way.

  • Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds: +350 to win NCAA Championship
  • Kentucky has won seven NCAA titles, most recently in 1998
  • Wall, Cousins and possibly Bledsoe should be one-and-done
  • Calipari should get revenge on Kansas

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds – They Will Go Far In The NCAA Tournament Because…
The Wildcats may have the national Player of the Year in freshman John Wall, who should be the No.1 pick in the NBA draft. They also have DeMarcus Cousins, who played himself into the NBA lottery with 15.6 points and 10.1 boards in the regular season. Eric Bledsoe is another talented freshman who would do well to stay in school for another year, while Patrick Patterson graduates this year as a junior and will probably jump ship. This foursome is more talented than any other foursome in the country, and they do it at both ends of the floor. The Wildcats are devastating in transition, and they can score in halfcourt sets, but it’s scary to think how much they would be when the game slows down if all three freshmen stayed even another year. NCAA basketball betting players would fall over themselves to bet on Kentucky again.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds –They Exit Out Of The Tournament Early Because…

players know just how much experience means to a team, and that’s one thing that the Wildcats lack. Daniel Orton is also a freshman, while Darnell Dodson and Darius Miller are both sophomores, and the lack of experience is also a major reason why the Wildcats struggle in their halfcourt offense, because they look to let their athleticism take care of it for themselves. The Wildcats have problems with turnovers and free throws, which seem to be staples of a John Calipari-coached team.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds – Best Player
There’s been some discussion of whether it’s Wall or Cousins, and a strong argument could be made for Cousins coming out of nowhere to be as good as he is. But Wall came into Lexington with a lot of hype, and he’s lived up to it. Wall leads the Wildcats in minutes, points, assists and steals, and he’s pretty much unstoppable when he gets a full head of steam. Your best bet against Wall is to try and keep him outside, but he’s even improved his jumper since the beginning of the season. Even still, you can’t keep him out of the lane.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds – X-Factor
Patterson is the most experienced of Kentucky’s top players, and he showed leadership by deferring to the freshmen on the court. Patterson was Kentucky’s best player over the last couple of years, but that didn’t lead to success. He showed a three-point touch this year, which will serve him well in the NBA. Patterson calms his young teammates down when it gets rough, and he’ll have to come up with some clutch shots this month.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds – March Madness Prediction
Of all the top teams in the country, the Wildcats didn’t have the trouble that Kansas, Syracuse and Duke did. Their two losses came at South Carolina and Tennessee, and only the South Carolina loss could be called an upset as Tennessee knocked off another No.1 team, Kansas, off in Knoxville, one of the toughest places to play in the country. The Wildcats will have to transfer their form on their home court at Rupp Arena to the neutral sites of the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.
