Oddly enough, the one mystery visitor I spoke about a couple days ago was not able to make arrangements to get to UK.... his name will remain silent for the near future.
However, UK will have TWO visitors that were not known before just now on campus today.
Two Detroit players will be arriving on UK's campus today to join Adrien Payne, who has spent most of yesterday at UK and will be at the UF game tonight.
2011 wing Brandan Kearney and 2011 Forward Percy Gibson will be on UK's campus today to see what UK has offer.
This visit is more of a "get to know you" type visit than anything else. Neither player has an offer from UK at this point and both are being recruited at high levels by other schools (Michigan schools especially)
The biggest part of Brandon's game that needs to improve is his aggressiveness. Much like Darius Miller, he could be dominant if he decided to be. There were stretches in his games with Team Detroit this summer where I just forgot he was on the court. He doesn't hurt his team, he just goes absent at times. To be fair, this is something that can often be quickly corrected with good coaching and letting a guy know his role on the team.
If Brandan works hard in the weight room to get a "college body", he will have the ability to be as good as anyone. He really does have a lot of upside. (Brandan is cousin of Cleveland Browns WR Braylon Edwards)
If you are wondering why Kearney and Percy Gibson seem to go everywhere together (they have taken a few visits together), it's not just because they are teammates at Team Detriot....They are "god brothers" (whatever that means) as well.
Defensively, Gibson changes shots. He'll block a fair share as well. He has very good timing and is able to erase mistakes made on the perimeter. Like many big men his age, he will need to work on strength to be a force at the next level. He also will need to improve his range on his jumper and his post footwork. Like his "god brother" Kearney, the sky is the limit for this young player.
