Jodie Meeks arrived in Milwaukee on Sunday ready to start his NBA career. After completing his first workout for the Bucks on Monday, Jodie had some interesting things to say.
"I'm happy the Bucks picked me. It's a good situation for me to be in since I'm a shooter," Meeks said.
Jodie did admit he was drafted later than he expected. However, he seemed happy with his decision and restated some of his reasons for staying in the NBA draft.
"I talked to my family, I talked to Coach Calipari, and I just felt it was the best decision for me and my family."
Lastly, Meeks stated that the recent coaching change at Kentucky wasn't the "deciding factor" for him to spurn UK for the NBA. Many have speculated that having three different coaches during his college tenure played a vital part in Jodie's decision-making process.
