2011 Elite point guard Marquis Teague

One of the premier point guards in the 2011 class is Marquis Teague. Yes, he is Jeff Teague's little brother but his game stands alone. Teague, ranked 8th in the 2011 class, is a super talented point guard capable of breaking defenders ankles with his killer left to right crossover.

Teague excels in transition and gets in the lane at will in the half court offense. Teague possesses a sweet mid range jump shot and is very capable of knocking down the open three. He is lightening quick and has great ability to change directions in a split second.

On the defensive side of the ball, Teague uses his superior speed and lateral quickness to blanket opposing players.

Marquis Teague had originally planned on ending his recruitment this month. However, due to unknown reasons, that decision has now been pushed beyond July. This is extremely good news for the University of Kentucky. It allows the new coaching staff to build a relationship with Teague before he makes his final decision.

Teague currently list Cincinnati, Louisville, Indiana, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Purdue and Kentucky as his final seven schools.
